Giving Tuesday at Rosie's Place

On Giving Tuesday, Steele donated 10% of sales to Rosie's Place women's shelter and visited their campus to see firsthand how they're able to feed almost 400 women per day on top of the other crucial services they offer. It was an eye opening experience to see all of the ways Rosie's helps to raise the quality of life for their guests.

After meeting some staff members, we learned that with winter here, there was a substantial need for hats, gloves and blankets, so we packed up some totes and brought them over as soon as we could.

Another thing that we noticed upon our visit is that Rosie's staff was actually using Steele Canvas trucks to move packaged food and other goods around the facility and some of the trucks had seen better days, so we returned shortly after to restock them with some new trucks that will hopefully aid their operation a bit as they gear up for chilly winter months.

Everything Rosie's Place does aims to uplift women and help them walk a little bit taller after a visit. Their amazing staff has substantially grown their efforts to provide relief for women in the ways that they need. That includes advocacy, food programs (meals & groceries), legal assistance, employment help and more.

Rosie’s Place relies solely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding. This helps to ensure that donations are going to the women they were intended to serve.

About Rosie's Place

On Easter Sunday 1974, Rosie’s Place was founded in our hometown of Boston as the first shelter for women in the country. They created a sanctuary of hope, a place where every woman was welcomed, listened to, understood, and loved. We're proud to partner with this local organization and look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.
